CAN FD Communication Testing & Data Analysis
Application Description
- Test and analyze CAN FD communication in modern automotive electronics and industrial control systems, where higher data rates and larger data payloads are required.
How It Works
Test and analyze CAN FD communication with up to 64-byte data frames using the USBCAN-II FD analyzer.
1 - Connect USBCAN-II FD to a PC through USB.
2 - Connect the CAN FD interface to the target ECU or CAN FD network.
3 - Configure the nominal bit rate and data-phase bit rate.
4 - Select the appropriate CAN FD frame format and data length.
5 - Transmit CAN FD frames and monitor incoming messages.
6 - Analyze frame IDs, payload data, and communication timing.
System Connection
Functions & Benefits
- Transmit and receive CAN FD frames.
- Test CAN FD communication with payloads of up to 64 bytes.
- Configure nominal and data-phase bit rates.
- Verify communication between CAN FD devices.
- Support development and validation of next-generation electronic control systems.
Recommended Model
USBCAN-II FD.
Technical Note: CAN FD is not simply a faster version of standard CAN. It supports a separate data-phase bit rate and payloads of up to 64 bytes. The connected devices and network must support compatible CAN FD settings.
